The British are Coming - Japan 2015
For this residency my work was about what happens when the clarification of a word (the traditional present of a ‘rock’ for a Japanese garden) gets lost in translation and the result of this through the misinterpretation of a word, in this case being a ‘rock’ shop from Margate ending up in a Japanese garden. This was a light hearted piece which was received very well due to the juxtaposition of the beautiful Japanese garden the humour of the piece com clearly.
